Our Christmas campaign is live. Every year, without a marketing budget, we try to use the holidays to highlight one of our urgent projects with our own campaign. This year it is for the Bridge Schools program of SAVE, in India.
It is precisely with the spirit of Christmas in mind that we often reflect on our friends, loved ones, but also how Christmas is (not) celebrated in other places in the world. Perhaps you also tell your own children how privileged we all are that, despite all the challenges of this time, we do get those presents from Sinterklaas or under the Christmas tree. In our opinion, the Marktplaats commercial about second-hand gifts is also a good signal of awareness, not only what costs something, but also the amount of stuff that is produced every day, month and year. Only to disappear into a corner sometimes afterwards.
We thought it was time for a nice campaign. Because what if we open a shop ourselves? With symbolic 'presents' and an online shopping basket that you can fill with a contribution to our project in India. Then you can enjoy shopping, and at the same time make a big difference in the life of a child in India. That no Christmas tree or Sinterklaas knows, but that's not a bad thing either. As long as he or she can go to school healthy, in a safe environment. That their parents will find this just as important, and that they will be helped with a fair wage so that children do not have to work in the factory.
In this project we provide bridging education for about 250 children a year who have worked in the factories or who live on the street during their parents' long working days. For €321, you can offer a child education for a year at one of the 7 Bridge Schools in Tirupur, India. In this Christmas campaign we ask our network for a contribution to this project. Any contribution is welcome.
