We offer our potential project investors a unique opportunity to see for themselves how Net4kids' local project partners in India work. Due to the pandemic we have had to postpone the trip a number of times, but hopefully in 2022 you can join some of the projects in southern India.
Educational and inspiring
The aim of this Stakeholder Trip is to provide an educational and inspiring experience and to show how Net4kids offers underprivileged children a more promising future in India. We would like to show you how you can make a difference.
The global program
Madurai
We travel to Madurai, the cultural capital of the Tamil Nadu region. Here we stay one night in the beautiful Heritage Madurai. We meet our local project partner here and they are happy to show us the cultural side of their country. The colorful Sri Meenakshi Temple is on the program.
Namakkal - Society for Serving Humanity (SSH)
Day 3 we travel in the morning to Namakkal. In the afternoon, after a lunch with the staff, we visit a few villages where children from SSH's Foster a Child program live. The next day we visit the ChildPlan Academy of SSH. After a tour of the school, a fun activity will be organized with the children. You will also have the opportunity to ask your own questions to the employees.
“How do you summarize 1 week in which you have seen the world at its best? Eyes that look right through your soul, a smile in every glance… ”
Nynke Geus – van den Broek, participant Stakeholder trip India 2017
Tirupur - Social Awareness and Voluntary Education (SAVE)
The next day we leave for Tirupur, to our local partner SAVE. The staff will tell us in detail about their activities around raising awareness and preventing child labor in the region. Then we will visit a number of Bridge Schools and we may take a look at a number of children at home. Day 2 at SAVE we start with a visit to the Green Park Smart School, a school completely run on solar energy and where the focus is on Joyful Education. We then visit a textile factory to see the impact of SAVE's awareness actions and learn how they contribute to improving the work situation in the region. Finally, we will visit the locations where vocational education is given to young people.
Bangalore - Rainbow Homes
We then fly on to Bangalore, our last location, where we will visit Rainbow homes. You first drive through the area to get an impression of the former living environment of the girls, and then get a tour of the project. During this visit there is attention for the Rainbow homes program and in the afternoon there is time for relaxation. There is time to buy souvenirs, take a dip in the hotel pool or do some sightseeing. Day 9 the flight departs back and we arrive early on Sunday morning in Amsterdam.
