A look at the future with Roy op het Veld

How do we ensure our economy keeps running while we move away from fossil fuels?

During the day Future Makers takes journalist, author and speaker Roy op het Veld (Net4kids-500 member) takes us along in the complex challenges of the energy transition. With more than 25 years of experience in financial and economic journalism and as former editor-in-chief of The Financial Daily he knows how to make complex issues accessible.

His story goes beyond the energy transition alone. Roy shows why the transition to sustainable energy is not only a technological or ecological challenge, but also an economic and geopolitical one. How can Europe become less dependent? Who determines the energy future? And how can companies strategically position themselves in a rapidly changing world?

You can read more about Roy at his website.

Finissage of Hugo Lingeman

After the plenary session, you are cordially invited to the finissage of 'Blikveld', the photo exhibition of Hugo Lingeman.

As Net4kids' pro bono house photographer, Hugo has traveled to projects in Africa and Asia over the past twenty years. Hugo is familiar with the circumstances of poverty and despair in which children sometimes grow up, but with his photography, he focuses primarily on their strength, curiosity, talent, and dignity.

During this finissage, you will have the opportunity to view and purchase his work. The proceeds from the sold photos will benefit us. Food Forest project in Kenya. A project that shows how Net4kids is increasingly investing in solutions that strengthen children, families, and their living environment. The exhibition is already on view starting July 26. You can find more about Hugo's exhibition at Field of view.
