Net4kids has started a new club: the SEEP Advisory Board. In this community, committed entrepreneurs and professionals pool their financial contributions, knowledge, and network to jointly invest in sustainable employment for young people in Nepal.
With the SEEP Advisory Board, we continue to build on a way of giving where involvement is central. Members not only invest financially but also closely monitor the impact, share their expertise, and contribute ideas to the development of the project. The board supports the Skills for Employment & Entrepreneurship Project (SEEP), that trains, guides, and helps young people build a future in their own country.
Why Nepal?
Nepal has a young population, but for many young people, a clear path to employment is lacking. Without access to relevant skills and guidance, opportunities remain limited. Many young people rely on informal work or leave for abroad for low-paying jobs, often under difficult circumstances.
With SEEP, we invest in a different perspective: a future in which young people receive the knowledge, skills, and guidance to build an income in their own environment.
From Education to Employment
SEEP connects education, practical experience, and the labor market. Young people participate in practice-oriented training, develop entrepreneurial skills, and receive guidance toward a job or their own business. This creates a sustainable path to economic independence.
The project is being carried out by our local partner. Child Watabaran Center Nepal (CWCN), with whom Net4kids has been collaborating for over twenty years. Thanks to their strong local network and experience, the program aligns well with the needs of both young people and employers.
The power of the SEEP Advisory Board
What makes this new giving circle special is that entrepreneurs and professionals commit not only to a project, but also to each other. They jointly invest in the same ambition, closely monitor progress, and share knowledge and experiences within the community.
βWhat makes this club so great is that you are involved in a single project together with other entrepreneurs and professionals. You follow the impact up close, get to know each other, and build opportunities for young people in Nepal together.β
Martijn Vlek β initiator of the SEEP Advisory Board
By investing together, they not only make the start of the project possible but also contribute to further growth and scaling up.
Impact that grows
In the next two years, SEEP will reach 1,200 young people. They gain access to practice-oriented training, personal guidance, and concrete opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship. This not only increases their own future prospects but also the economic strength of their community.
The first members have now joined the SEEP Advisory Board. There is still room for entrepreneurs and professionals who want to use their knowledge, network, and investment for a promising future for young people in Nepal.
