Hugo Lingeman was 15 years ago together with Loek and Anke van den Boog and Veronika Uhl the Net4kids team from the very beginning. The first few years of Net4kids Hugo took care of everything related to 'online'. The following years he visited many Net4kids project for photography on his travels. Now he is back and to help us with online marketing and ICT.

COMMITMENT NEVER WAS AWAY

Hugo worked for about 20 years at KLM in various marketing positions. He also managed to apply his fascination for automation and gadgets, first with the use of automation in the customer service department and with the emergence of the internet as a pioneer with the first versions of the KLM website. After a period as an internet consultant, he also became an entrepreneur with his own services and SAAS software for B & Bs and small-scale hotels.

MARKETEER, ENTREPRENEUR AND PHOTOGRAPHER

Hugo is the creator of the special photo book “It's Silent in the Street” with only empty streets, squares and canals of Amsterdam.

“Hugo was at the cradle of Net4kids and has been connected to us with heart and soul for 15 years. When he recently offered to structurally support us again, we grabbed it with both hands. His years of experience in a wide field, IT expertise, creativity, positivism and solution focus will be invaluable for an even better future for Net4kids. Always positive and in a good mood, he fits perfectly with Net4kids and we are very happy with his return! ”

Do meaningful work

“Through Net4kids I have noticed how happy I get from meaningful work: so it is not necessarily altruism that drives me! That is why I have never been able to completely let go of Net4kids and I have continued to photograph for them, with which many annual reports and web pages have been illustrated.

In recent years I have had more time again and through PUM I started advising small-scale accommodations in Zambia. I help them get good visibility online. This produces very direct results. A number of companies doubled the occupancy rate in a year, creating additional employment (cleaning, garden and pool maintenance, reception): a very direct form of poverty reduction.

When I heard that Thomas Rebel was going to leave, it was immediately clear to me that I wanted to get back to work for Net4kids. The beautiful projects, the direct, transparent approach and also a very nice, professional team, it couldn't be more beautiful. So I was very happy that I was received with open arms again.

What I want to do in the coming years is to provide investors in Net4kids projects with even better service. And also to facilitate the use of the website and other systems for the Net4kids team. ”
